Sabbir Ahmed FCA

Sabbir is a  Chartered Accountant with M. Com and B. Com. (Honours) in Accounting from University of Dhaka. He has extensive experiences in Corporate Governance, Statutory Auditing, Internal Auditing, Enterprise Risk Management, Tax Advisory, Financial Management, Business Process Reengineering, formulating policies and standard operating procedures (SOP), Implementation of SAP ERP, SAP Supply Chain Management, SAP Business Intelligence, Oracle EBS and ISOs. 

 

He has worked for United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Partex Star Group and Acid Survivors Foundation. He also has been working in the fields of auditing and advisory services in hundreds of business houses, non-government organisations, microcredit organisations and have considerable exposers in banking and non-banking financial institutions. 

 

Sabbir is a faculty member of ICAB. He teaches accounting and information technology. He served ICAB as an active member in different standing committees. He participates in live TV talk shows and is a regular contributor to national dailies and online portals on Business, Economics, Politics, Corporate Governance, Economy and Social Issues.

Sheikh Tareq Zahir FCA

Tareq manages many of the audit and review engagements under *ISRS 4400 of multinational and local clients of the Firm. He is adept in ERP deployments like Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards. He is a Certified Adviser in Bangladesh for Xero Cloud Accounting Software.

 

Tareq has worked for GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Ltd., Nokia Emerging Asia Ltd., Novartis Bangladesh Ltd., Robi, Unilever, and DBL Ceramics Ltd. 

 

Tareq has extensive experiences in Corporate Governance, MIS designs, Change Management, Internal Audit, Business Partnering, Business Planning & Performance Drives, Statutory Accounts, Reporting, and Project Evaluations.

 

He is currently a member of the highly specialised Focus Group of the Task Force for the Capital Market Reform of Bangladesh.

mohammed shakil choudhury
Mohammed Shakil Choudhury FCA

Shakil is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), with more than 23 years of practical experience in Financial Management, Finance & Accounts, and Direct & Indirect Taxation across different sectors in Bangladesh.

 

He completed both his graduation and post-graduation, majoring in Accounting, from the National University of Bangladesh (NUB). He served as  Chief Financial Officer and Associate Director – Finance of Transcom Electronics Ltd. and Bangladesh Lamps Limited, from Transcom Group one of Bangladesh’s renowned conglomerates, for 17 years, and prior to that held a series of management-level positions across various sectors such as Food, Textile and garments manufacturing, Life Insurance and Oil & Gas drilling in the country.

 

Over his career, he has built substantial expertise in financial planning and analysis, statutory audit and compliance, VAT advisory, and corporate governance. He has added core value to the practice, currently leading the Audit, Advisory Services, and Indirect Tax (VAT) functions, and playing a key role in strengthening the Firm’s advisory capabilities for large corporate clients.

 

In addition to his corporate roles, he is a listed mediator at the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC), a member of various committees of ICAB, and a former member of the Auditor Selection Committee of Bangladesh Bank.

Md. Wadud Ahmed FCA (ICAB), ACA (ICAEW)

Wadud is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and an Associate Member (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), with more than 15 years of hands-on experience in Financial Management, Finance & Accounts, and Direct Taxation across a range of companies in Bangladesh.

 

He completed his graduation from the National University of Bangladesh (NUB), majoring in Accounting, and his post-graduation from Jagannath University, also majoring in Accounting. He served as Director – Finance of Southeast University, one of Bangladesh’s leading universities, for seven years, and prior to that held top-level positions in several insurance companies in the country, gaining broad exposure to financial control and regulatory compliance.

 

Over his career, he has built strong expertise in direct tax advisory, internal audit, asset and business valuation, and securities house operations and compliance, and has served as a member of the Task Force constituted by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). He is also a registered VAT Consultant under the National Board of Revenue (NBR). At the Firm, he currently leads the Direct Tax (Income Tax), Audit, and Advisory Services practice, bringing deep technical expertise and cross-sector experience to the Firm’s engagements.

Muhammad Mahmudul Hoq FCA (ICAB), ACA (ICAEW)

Mahmud is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and an Associate Member (ACA), of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), with more than 15 years of extensive experience in Financial Management, Finance & Accounts, and Direct & Indirect Taxation, adding remarkable value to business operations across different sectors in Bangladesh.

 

He completed both his graduation and post-graduation, with a concentration in Accounting, from the National University of Bangladesh (NUB). He served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Excel Technologies Limited, one of the leading IT companies in Bangladesh, for 6.5 years, and prior to that held a Senior Manager position at Transcom Group for 4 years, where he gained wide exposure to corporate finance, taxation, and business operations across diverse industry segments.

 

Over the course of his career, he has developed strong expertise in VAT compliance and advisory, financial reporting, budgeting and cost control, and ERP-based financial systems, and is also a registered VAT Consultant under the National Board of Revenue (NBR). His contribution is enormous, and he currently leads the Indirect Tax (VAT), Audit, Advisory Services, and ERP Implementation practice, guiding clients through complex VAT regulatory matters and system-driven finance transformation projects.
